Feather 12 mm. A feather (a rolled piece of felt paper with a short point on both sides) is a drawing tool to obscure something, make it less sharp. This feathering is used to transfer colors or to mix colors. The technique is used in colored pencils with a lot of pigment and pastels.
When using different colors, the feather must always be cleaned with a nail file or a piece of fine sandpaper.
A frayed tip can simply be cut off.
